Relief inc is a global nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals in Africa through vocational education and skills training. Their programs --tailoring, interior docoration, pastry making and hair dressing --equip people with practical and build sustainable futures. I have known Relief inc since 2010, and my experience with them has been truly life changing. They have opened doors for countless young women who could not afford private education. Thanks to their support, I learned tailoring -- a skill that now enable me to earn a living and provide for my family. I am deeply grateful for the impact relief inc has had on my life and the lives of many others. I strongly encourage them to continue expanding their efforts across Africa to uplift more people who lack access to these opportunities. Their work is making a real difference, and with continued support, they can transform even more lives.

I believe that this group has everything going for it. I say this because I have seen them work with the children in the football community. The Not only give time to the kids in the program, but they give the kids hope, pride, and the feeling they can do more on the field as well as in life. I have seen my son in football, my grandson grow from a lost kid to a grown person that works good in the community, has done good in school, in Boys scouts, in different clubs all though belonging to this football League, since the were little kids. They not only formed the will to do better, but they taught them to do good things in life and make a different in our community.

I visited the Society's thrift store and the staff was so helpful to me while I shopped. Their staff must have gotten excellent training in customer service -I plan to go back again and will also donate items in the future. A very reputable charity!

Inc. a humanitarian nonprofit in powering children and families of Jamaica in the Caribbean since 1988! 1000 Smiles dental project, SuperKids Literacy Project, Teach the Teachers, iCARE Vision Project! A life changing One Love experience! Over 40,000 people receive free dental care, children and schools receive books, school supplies, and computers, workshops for teachers of Jamaica in language arts, behavior management and computer skills, thousands of people receive free classes, vision test, and even free cataract surgery. Volunteer now you won’t be sorry it’s a wonderful loving sharing caring experience

iv'e been with the church since the beginning, sure mistakes were made especially when you first start out. and i happen to know no one was hurt with intent in mind lots of people lost their homes it was the times, and bad loans made by mortgage companies . the bible says judge not and you shall not be judged, but judge ourselves daily, I know these pastors are good people with the salvation of others in mind they really don't want any one to end up in Hell. GOD does work through our church i have seen miracles and have had a miracle save my life I had an appointment with GOD and didn't even know it. so don't listen to nay sayers come and visit and you will see for your self.

My son Jacob has been riding at CARE-ousel for two years. He has muscular dystropy. Jacob has become very fond of (Zip)the horse he rides. Jacob has been able to increase his upper and lower body strengeth and improve his core strength. Equine Therapy is unlike other forms of therapy. It has physical benefits and emotional benefits. Jacob looks forward to seeing his friend "Zip".

I LOVE CAMP TAYLOR. It gave my son confidence and helped him feel like he had a tribe. I loved being able to trust him in someone else's capable hands and not worry. 5 stars isn't a recommendation high enough for me. After my son could no longer attend, my daughter volunteered.

My name is Kalyssa, and I've worked for Community Payee Services off and on since 2015. There is no payee agency in Modesto that does what we do. We go above and beyond to help our clients with their day to day money management. We make sure that we are always available to our clientele, and try to do as much as possible to make them feel appreciated. We never belittle or disrespect our clients, we are here to help protect the vulnerable -and that's just what we do.

Beautiful auditorium but the sound system for the stage speakers is terrible.very low volume. This needs to be addressed.

Attending the Cancer Control Society's Annual Conference changed my life. As a nurse I thought I knew something about cancer, but I quickly realized I knew practically nothing. I know that conventional treatments make exaggerated claims but fail at long term success. <br> <br>The mission of the Cancer Control Society (CCS) is to educate consumers about powerful, healing healthcare options, most of which are ignored by the mainstream system. CCS runs a tight organization with many volunteers and whatever staff they have is not well paid. In my 40-plus years in healthcare, I’ve never met a nonprofit in the health arena that has done more good for so many on such little funding. <br>

I'm so glad the Childrens Crisis Center has built a facility across the street from my house. How wonderful to know an organization that does such good work is right here in my neighborhood, shining a light in our community!<br><br>

After the Communist revolution in 1917 in Russia, Roman Catholic churches were confiscated and put to other uses by the government. In 1992 (a year after the Soviet Union ceased to exist), two priests from the United States arrived in Vladivostok to help re-establish the Church in eastern Russia. One of them (both still serve there) founded the Mary Mother of God Mission Society back in the U.S. and with its help, they have founded or re-founded 11 Catholic parishes, recruited seminarians, developed numerous charitable programs, and have created a variety of catechetical programs. The Society publishes a full-color bi-monthly newsletter called the "Vladivostok Sunrise" that they send to donors that highlights the work they do, such as food for orphans and homebound elderly Russians (and pairing up orphans with adults to provide the children with adult mentoring), medical assistance, AA programs for Russians with alcoholism , and providing alternatives to abortion. Other than including a reply envelope with each issue of the "Sunrise" newsletter, they rarely send separate appeals for funds. When I DO send a donation to their California office, (you can specify if you wish it used where most needed or for a specific program) , I eventually get an acknowledgment letter direct from Russia signed by the priest over there who founded the Society (so you know they got the contribution!). Most missionary organizations are focused on other parts of the world, so this is a chance to make a real difference in spreading the Good News to a country that is normally neglected!

The Healthy Aging Association is one of the programs partially funded through federal grant money from the Older Americans Act. Their primary focus is encouraging people over the age of 55 to develop and maintain healthy lifestyles. The Association started with strength-training exercises in classes throughout Stanislaus County, and have added senior-specific aerobics, tai chi, walking groups, and other exercises designed for senior citizens. The staff and volunteers who guide seniors through the exercises are dedicated to helping seniors improve balance, emotional well-being, alleviate the effects of arthritis, high blood pressure, heal from injuries or surgery, and generally improve the quality of life. In addition, the staff has received other grants to help seniors improve their cooking and eating habits, and is one of the agencies that distributes free fruits and vegetables to low income seniors. The staff and volunteers of the Association proudly focus on preventing illness, falls, and depression and have been very successful in this endeavor.

I donate to this non-profit on a monthly basis, they assisted people with disabilities of all types and ages this is a worthy cause, I recommend using them as a resource.

This organization exists solely for the purpose for the Chairman of the Board so he can acquire militaria for his personal use and assets.

The contact information is over three years old. The people listed do not even work there anymore. The website isn't accurate, the 990's haven't been submitted in two years and the agency is in disarray.

I have person experience with this non-profit. Started by a coupe who's son who took his life due to addiction. Nirvana was started in is memory. After 8 years due to overwork and stress the wife had a breakdown and relapsed after 26 years of sobriety. She was thrown out like a sack of garbage. Rumors were smeared that it was due to embezzlement even though she was to receive 2 years of back pay (prevailing wage) because they both worked for free the first 2 years. The new Director is a second striker who actually stole monies from the company and was given a chance. The directors didn't want to see him get 25-year to life. He has crossed sexual boundaries with female clients. Now he is running Nirvana with one years education. Great choice for leadership/ I would mot sent my dog there for treatment. Someday the truth will all come spilling out and Nirvana will face another leadership crisis.

I've had the pleasure of working with FOMY for the past three years and I've seen first hand the difference a few can make in the lives of children. The organization raises money to support youth oriented organizations in Modesto.

Was a former board member a while back when C.O. was the executive director. The problem was that the organization had financial irregularities which the IRS at one time threatened to remove its tax exempt status. And its books were never audited despite my urgings. There was no transparency as financial statements were never made available to the public as required by law under Sec. 501(C)(3). And what's also troubling was the nepotism was rampant and most other board members were rubber stampers. In fact, some activities with organization with respect to tournaments, were used as disguise for vacation at the expense of the organization. There was no oversight and no oversight until after the fact. Additionally, so little was given back to the junior members to help them compete at a national level such as USGA tournaments when members qualified. Other than a few tournaments, about 4, all the other tournaments are all self-contained and received no financial support from the organization. Relationship between the parents and C.O. was never good. She was viewed as arrogant, aloof, and vindictive. She ran the organization as her personal fiefdom and resented any inquiry dealing with her running of the organization. As a school teacher, she was used to treating everyone as a schoolchild. But the organization started by Len Ross is a good one and serves a wonderful purpose. But because its members are kids under 17 they know little nor are interested to know anything more than playing golf tournaments and know what their points are. It really needs oversight with parents on the board and board members shouldn't serve longer than three years. Additionally its books must be out for the public to exam on its website. Furthermore, auditing must be conducted on its books for prior years and all irregularities must be disclosed and resolved in a responsible and professional manner. Until more parents are involved with the organization and more transparency is provided with its finances, I won't donate a penny.
