I released from prison March 22nd 2024 to Arms Around resident in Seattle WA. I was able to build a foundation for my 10 and 13 year old who had been homeless while my incarceration. Because of Arms around you I was able to get on my feet with a roof over my head and create a foundation for my kids and I. While living at the Arms around you. I created a good relationship with Department of Corrections, started my Intensive Outpatient Treatment meetings twice a week With Byond Meazurez and attend Seeking Safety classes for my PTSD. I was able to obtain my Drivers license set up all my Doctors needed to attend to my lupus and suboxone program. I start the Tech program for 6 months on July 8, 2024 and was able to enroll and start my coding bootcamp May 7, 2024 to become a software engineer. All of my success is because I had a safe and secure home to release to without Arms around you I would've not been able to accomplish any of this successfully because I would've started with homeless back on the street and had nothing but drugs to turn to. Arms around you was God given and without the help of Avon and Kisha I would've never made it. My boy's have there mom and I have my sobriety because of angles at Arms around you. Words can't express the gratitude and love I have for the Arms Around You Foundation. Thank you. You know you have hidden wings.

It's hard navigating the world of special education for any parent. It is for me and English is my native language. Open Doors provides excellent programs (I've been to three and have gained something from each one including parenting skills) and makes them culturally and linguistically accessible. I've shared information about Open Doors with special education teachers so they can help multicultural families.

As a volunteer in Washington I can say that so many people have been affected by this organization and how much it has helped FIRST robotics grow and develop in the Pacific Northwest. WFR has grown in the last few years and so has the number of teams and events that they support. I can't recommend this organization enough, as I am lucky enough to be one of the students who's life was changed by FIRST. I encourage anything and anyone that continues to promote the values of FIRST. The more young people who are engaged in STEM the better. Join the revolution!

African United For Children's Future AUCF has been helping the children of Africa since 2007. Check us out on the web at www.theaucf.org or on Facebook using our full name.

They do wonderful work bringing children from Belarus to the US for health and nutrition respite. The radiation from Chernobyl has had lasting impacts on the health of the people in Belarus. They can't get adequate nutrition or medical or dental care there so they come to the US for a break from the toxic environment. This local org works hard to match families with children so these kids are given a chance to change their lives and better their health.

This organization works hard to support its members during what is be a difficult time in their lives. Their newsletter contains stories and articles that are like having a support group that shows up in my mailbox just when I need them most.

My son was turning one when we were referred to CTC (Kent). On initial meeting with feeding and physical therapists my fear and anxiety were eased by honest and realistic reassurance by them. They did not tell me something like "He will be ok" statement but they both reassured me that me and my family are not alone in figuring out and helping my son's shortcomings. Eventually, my son was diagnosed with severe global developmental delay. Recently he started having seizures. He is now 6 1/2 years old and we are still getting therapy from the center. To add, not long after my son was going to CTC, I gave birth to his younger brother who turned out to have intractable seizures and developmental delay. His younger brother is now 5 years old. He continues to be a "CTC kid". CTC has been very supportive and instrumental in bringing sanity and hope to our family. From the front desk and on, the employees have been cordial, understanding and family centered. CTC is equivalent to our medical home. CTC is warm and welcoming, just like home. They have been always family centered and has been acquiring ways to serve a broader community of families with disability or developmental issues. CTC is true to their mission. CTC is determined to reach out to the community. The staff have been working beyond what I have expected. We have a very difficult situation, we have two disabled children but we are standing where we are right now because CTC has held our hands and continue to take this journey alongside our family.
