My sister has been a resident for some time. I am so unhappy about the communication the facility has between the patient and family member. This place is always locked down and when I visit I can wait 10 minutes or longer waiting for someone to open the door. If you call at night no-one answers but residents. They should close this facility very old, nothing for the residents to do but live!!!!! How unfortunate that the residents must feel about this place and no one to help them. Staff is overworked, underpaid and stressed. All the employees do the best they can which I am grateful, turn over is unacceptable due to pay I am sure. No bonus, no thank-you's, what a crappy job with crappy pay! INEXCUSABLE

Veteran Connection – Helping Homeless Veterans <br>Brief Synopsis of Veteran Connection <br> <br>Veteran Connection. Inc., is a non-profit organization, 501(c)3. Our tax id # is (47-5312462). Specifically focused on the unmet needs of the homeless veteran populations in the nation; which is currently creating a substantial epidemic across the nation. <br>Using the “Housing First” model, we implement hope and compassion; targeting and providing the disadvantaged veterans and/or their family members with viable options for success. Team outreach missions provides the homeless clientele many options to better themselves. Options offered are resources and referrals such as: temporary to permanent housing. <br>Our goals are ultimately to reduce the epidemic to impact as many homeless veterans and their families as possible. We offer assistance to help the participants in recognizing their strengths from an enhanced level of cognition and awareness. There is also an aspect of the program which implements an empirical method, a preventative initiative to address and treat veteran homelessness actually before it occurs thus bridging gaps that exist in services. <br>Veteran Connection is a newly formed grassroots initiative, operating independently since November 15, 2015. Since its inception, Veteran Connection has provided 106 (one-hundred and six) referrals and/or services to our treasured veterans and/or their family members in one or more of the following capacities that provided temporary, emergency or permanent solutions: <br> <br>Veteran Connection Referrals <br> <br>• Referrals to area veteran service providers or VA homeless assistance programs.Veteran Connection referral handshake <br>• Referrals to food, pantry items and hot meals served. <br>• Referrals for clothing donations and personal care items distributions to clients <br>• Educational and/or Employment referrals to area colleges and career centers.

I have had excellent medical staff take care of me. HOWEVER, the administrative staff and administration, starting with Mario Jardon, the CEO, down to "Lourdes" from the billing dept., do not care at all about the patient's well-being. Formal letters get ignored, rudeness on the phone, and no help at all.<br>
