Hello this is Gildardo Estrada <br> <br> <br>My experience with Dallas is Love is from the outside looking in. I have seen the Foster family work the with every ounce of energy to raise money to send AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) gift certificates to United States military troops stationed worldwide. Dallas is Love was created by Tania and Patrick Foster in 2005 in order to show soldiers that they are not forgotten for their selfless efforts to protect the freedom of this country. They were only children then, but they saw first hand on a trip to Korea that the men and women of the United States military are willing to sacrifice everything to serve our country in many remote outposts so we may enjoy the freedom that we are blessed with. They have proven that a good idea with a purpose is better that 10 ideas with none. I have seen first hand that Dallas is Love’s goal is to ensure that those who preserve the freedoms we hold dear are not forgotten by those who benefit from their hard work and dedication. It is amazing to see that Dallas is Love is raising funds to show appreciation to all who serve or have served our country. Have a heart; be a part of Dallas is Love.

I have been volunteering with the TNCF (Texas National Cemetery Foundation) for over 15 years. It is the last thing you can do for a Veteran to say Thank You. We support the Veterans National Cemetery in Grand Prairie by putting up flags along the roads before our Yearly events and taking them down after. We sponsor and have events on Veterans Day and Memorial Day to show respect to and Honor those who served and have gone on before us. Or Veterans deserve Respect and Thanks for their sacrifices.

We adopted two wonderful Pomeranians from this amazing group. The people involved with this organization are extremely dedicated to the love and care of these animals. They go to great lengths to save and protect these unwanted and often abused dogs. I greatly admire the hard work of all the people involved in this rescue.

I’ve attended several events organized by BikeDFW, and I can’t say enough how amazing they are! Informative, approachable, and overall a real benefit to the cycling community!

My experience with the Achievement Center of Texas includes being a volunteer as well as a donor, but mostly I am a fan! The spirit of this organization is alive and smiling!! I love the enthusiasm of the staff and the students. It is obvious to everyone that enters that this is a place where love lives. Five stars are not enough!!

Altrusa International is an organization with local chapters and districts, spread out over the US and Puerto Rico, with smaller presence in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Ukraine, Russia, Korea, India, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, Bermuda and New Zealand. Altrusa's purpose is to build stronger communities through service projects and fundraising that goes back into the community. The organization has a long history, starting in Nashville in 1917, as a service organization for women during WWI.<br><br>When I first heard of this organization, I checked into them to see if they would be a good fit in my life, and if I would be a good fit in theirs. I found the answer to both was "yes." The Garland, TX chapter is small in membership but the power behind this group of women is astonishing. Altrusa is involved with local elementary schools, providing story-time reading and support for book fairs by providing free books to schools with low socioeconomic students/families. Altrusa is involved with the local food bank by raising donations for support, and by serving at their facility. Altrusa is involved with fundraising and donates those funds to the local women's shelter, the local free health clinic, and countless other local charity organizations. Very little money is kept for administrative fees. The time and energy provided by the local members is all donated time; no salaries are paid. Members may be as active as they want to be. The international organization also provides leadership and training through annual district meetings, and bi-annual international meetings. Clubs join together to share ideas, best practices, and support for one another.<br><br>As a Christian, wife, mother, and career professional, I've found the opportunities as a member of Altrusa to be fun and rewarding, and sometimes very humbling. It's provided me with service and social activities I enjoy, and with women whom I call my friends. I would encourage anyone - women or men - looking for a way to serve their local community to check out Altrusa International - www.altrusa.org - to find a local chapter. You'll be glad you did.

Rice for Hunger helps the unfortunates by donating and delivering heavy rice bags, salt, sugar, cooking oil to them every month. They haven't missed any month at all. They also have live excel sheet on their website which records all donation per month. It is easy to donate, you can also donate by Facebook. They run all by volunteers and these don't get paid at all.

I was introduced to Trusted World after Hurricane Harvey in 2017. What a wonderful group of people who are so great at helping others!

I was in jonothans place for 3 months and they were really kind to me and all the visiters who came to see me are wonderfull people and i will never forget the 3 months jonathans place took care of me while i was in cps.<br><br>From:Bryan

This was such a great experience for the kids!! I brought my daughter and her 2 friends. We all had a blast. The staff had games and fun activities such as kickball, canoe races, hiking, treasure hunts and much more scheduled at all times of the day. The kids stayed busy and were very interactive. <br>They also served us 3 incredible meals a day. The staff was great!!<br><br>I can't wait to go back next year!

We are doing something different at EEC! We are meshing LIFE skills training with academics. Our students do not sit all day and are not left alone! We feature academics on an individual level as well outclasses in PE, art, music, computers and horticulture. We get out into the public bi-weekly for community based instruction and we also make and sell cupcakes to the neighboring businesses! Our students wake up early and excited to come spend the day with us. And they always leave with a hug and a smile. Come and see what we are doing that's different. We are located in our new Center at 2121 Northwest Hwy, Suite 119 where Garland, Richardson and Dallas meet at LBJ! We know you'll love the difference!

This ministry is making a difference in the lives of many across the Country. I have received much encouragemnet from them in leading our local Pregnancy Center. I appreciate Ken's dedication to serving The Lord and encouraging those around him through Last Harvest Ministries.

Bike & Build has worked with Habitat Garland since 2009. We have granted them funds to carry out various projects related to involving young adults in addressing the affordable housing cause. Our riders have also stopped to build with their affiliate during our cross-country bike trips; the connection our young people are able to make the beneficiaries of HfH Garland's work inspires them to stay involved in the affordable housing cause long after they have stopped through their area!

Helping Hands Inc is an incredible organization which I am glad to be a part of. HHI's mission in reaching children in impoverished areas globally is very different from other organizations of this kind, with many schools underway, and providing a place to call home to many children around the world, food, clothing, shoes, love, and the building of the Helping Hands Global Center just outside of Dallas that is unlike anything we have seen before! Soon children locally, families, schools, and people from across the globe can come and learn about different countries and cultures, experience and see firsthand each culture in a way they have never been able to before. This experience will be life changing, and even world changing. DAPE is a 52 year old parenting organization that serves families and teachers of young children -birth thru age 12. <br>They offer classes, workshops, conferences, speakers and phone support .They have services and resources for pregnant families, teachers of young children, first aid and CPR, baby care classes, parenting classes and teacher workshops. <br> <br>Warmline is a phone answering service where volunteers answer calls for parents, grandparents or teachers about young children <br> <br>DAPE works on a shoe string budget serving 4000 people a year. <br>

Global Hope is a fantastic ministry. The leadership is solid and with integrity. They are ministering on the front lines in hard to reach areas. I love the compassion and passion of this movement. I am proud to be associated with them and only wish I could give more!

I have been volunteering for the Achievement Center of Texas for over 5 years now. I use my time to put a bright smile on our clients faces, anything from hosting a golf tournament to playing the Easter Bunny. Thre is no greater pay than the warm welcome I get when I walk in over at ACT. The love and appreciation shown by these children and adults is so rewarding to me. ACT serves children and adults with special needs, Cerebra Palsy, Emotionally Disturbed, Mentally Retarded, Down Syndrome, and any other disability. I am also a member of the Board of Directors, which is a responsibility to keep our facility up to the highest standards.

Korean Americans and Korea War vets like me formed this nonprofit to correct the mis--education about the Korea War in American school history books. <br>McDougal Littell, in its high school textbook "The Americans" delivers a low punch to the stomach of all Korean War Veterans and South Koreans when it calls the Korean War an "unsuccessful war". <br>Yet, South Korea ranks as the world's fourtheenth largest economy and America's sixth largest trading partner. <br>Legacy of the Korea War Foundation intends to educate American students by expanding the Tell America Program started by the Korean War Veterans Association. Mount Hebron Day Care provide alternative (private) education to children. MHCA uses the Abeka Curriculum which teaches kids the basic and foundation to education centering around phonemic awareness. The school is provides before and after school daycare as well as schooling for up to the 2nd grade. Many of the kids who have been enrolled are tested and transfer into the Gifted/Talented Programs offered in public School. Due to low enrollment the schools 2010-2011 goal is to renovate the schools playground. The teachers are interested in making the school a safe, productive learning environment, where the child leaves with a love for learning.

GVA provides the opportunity for young girls to play league volleyball in a healthy, safe environment that fosters positive teaching and encourages teamwork. GVA provides college scholarships to girls who have participated in GVA - especially those who went on to serve the association after they stopped playing within the leagues.
