I have been a sponsor with Village2Village for several years. I am so grateful for the incredible work this organization does and the opportunity to be part of changing lives in a real way. Their programs are family-based and focused on empowering guardians and entire communities-not just providing short-term aid. Through their sponsorship program, I'm able to directly support a child, and watch him grow and thrive. I receive letters from him, videos of him, and even messages from his family. He is a real part of our family now, and we all love hearing from him! Having an ongoing, meaningful connection with our sponsored child makes this organization stand out from others. I also really appreciate that the funds go directly toward essential needs like nutrition, education, and medical care. This nonprofit builds hope, dignity, and opportunity for families.

I have had the most amazing experience engaging with The Reboot Project. The programming, comradery and engagement with the staff and program participants has been exemplary and life changing. I recommend the non-profit and their program, Conquer Your Mountain, to any veteran or first responder looking for positive change and a solid support system. Excellent Program!!

To say that I would’ve been still wandering around aimlessly without direction nor opportunities would be an understatement if not for all the help and guidance of Discipline. I’d come to Indiana with little more than the clothes on my back and no idea of what awaited me. Without any support or direction, I struggled for a length of time as I tried to adapt to this new environment by myself and kept failing to move forward positively. I hit dead end after dead end and was at my wits end when I was referred to Discipline Inc by an acquaintance who thought they might be able to help point me in the right direction. Left with no options and hopelessly dejected, I reached out to them without much expectation as I had been referred to prior organizations as well with no real outcome. The continuous help, support, and guidance I received from Discipline has changed my life in ways I can’t put into words. The kindness and caring support they’ve shown me as they worked tirelessly to ensure I was aware of and had access to all the opportunities available to me (ones I would never have found otherwise) have been a saving grace. With this organization, I know without a question that there are good people in this world that have been placed into the perfect positions to make the most impact on those less fortunate. I am so grateful to all those at Discipline Inc and for everything I was taught, learned, and shown there. I hope to one day pay it forward in the same manner.

They fill a need I never even considered needed to be filled! Providing a safe phone for domestic abuse survivors is so deeply important to building their foundation to freedom and independence.

This company has no compassion for residents or their environment. The buildings are not maintained properly. The properties allow smoking in the rooms. The amenities are misrepresented including things such as central air conditioning, free wifi, cable tv in community areas, dog friendly, gym, computer room, all of these are false. Staff is disrespectful to residents verbally. Maintenance is rarely carried through on a timely basis and never are the residents notified of a visit in advance. Trash removal is a joke requiring residents to walk outside a great distance to dumpster since food waste and personal products are not permitted in the internal chute. The buildings are so toxic from mold due to water intrusion they should be shut down. Fire extinguishers are too big for the average resident to handle. Power outages leave oxygen users with no backup auxiliary power or tanks. Someone dies about every 3 months on average.<br>Management acts like a prison Warden exercising cruel and unnecessary actions for the slightest infraction with flagrant favoritism to some but not all.

This organizations supports all non-profits in the county. they go above and beyond in helping individuals who need assistance, with rent, electric, food, shelter, etc. Can't say enough praises about this great group.

Founded by friends and fellow Marines, they have done a tremendous amount for the Marines with whom I’ve served over the last 15 years and their families. Whether it’s flying the families of wounded or killed Marines to be with their loved ones, helping out with funeral expenses, giving me $70,000 (in 72 hours) to build a statue of a fallen Marine on the strength of a phone call, helping with educational grants, or helping guys get started in business, they are there every time they’re called. I’ve raised fund for them and received funds from them. Sarah C. In particular is a national treasure. <br>

Team Luke makes an amazing impact in the area by bringing hope and healing to terminally ill children and their families through music and Rhythm Pax. The message, values and dedication and love that Luke and his family extend to others is humbling. Amazing organization - touching lives.

What inspires me to give? With a lot of introspection, I can say that I give to causes that I have personal ties to, along with having a cause worth fighting for. I not only give my money but I also give my time, and my heart. Here is my giving story:<br><br>Suicide. This word brings up so many feelings. These words come to my mind when I hear it: fear, loss, grief, suffering, heartbreak, depression, STIGMA, pain without words. Because of The Peyton Riekhof Foundation for Youth Hope, these words also resonate: Hope, treatment, overcoming, healing, community. <br><br>You see, my neighbor and friend's teenage daughter died by suicide only a few years ago. Their daughter was amazing and one of my favorite kids. She was beautiful, she was smart, she had south kindness in her heart for others, she was a great friend, she was a softball player, an amazing sister, she was my girls' babysitter. She took time for people. She was the type of person you want to fill the world because it would make the world better. She struggled with depression. Depression from an early age. Her family cared, got her treatment did their best for her, and still.....<br><br> Her name was Peyton. Her father, being a 'doer' and working through and with his grief, quickly founded a not-for-profit in her name, with the mission of reducing suicides among her community's youth. He found community experts and resources and organized a Board. He built a website. He organized community programs, bringing a speaker to the local high schools to talk about suicide--a door once closed tight to this topic. He organized a local softball tournament, Play for Peyton, to increase awareness of resources and decrease stigma. His team in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Walk raised the most money year 1. He has used funds raised to start support groups within local schools. He bravely tells his story, and her story, depite that it is hard, to help others. He is involved with the mayors local task force for suicide prevention. All in just over one year. You see, Peyton is not the only teen in her community of youths to take her own life. And this has to stop. <br><br>A teenager who was present at one of Peyton's fathers local talks emailed him to tell him how much he needed to hear this story. That he was on the brink. It's this that keeps her father and the Foundation pressing forward. <br><br>I give to this foundation. I serve this foundation and this cause with my time because our community needs this. Because my own daughter struggles. Because I love the Riekhof family. I've been a foster for ARPO now 5 years. I mostly take in cats and kittens. I love that this group is so willing to take the animals into their homes. Some fosters have an amazing number of pets in their homes waiting for forever homes. They work with the animals to socialize them and go out of their way to get very sick animals healthy. The animals are neutered before they are adopted out. Hard to place animals do find homes. Adopters agree to return the animal to ARPO if they can no longer provide for it. Leavener is passionate in telling people about the life changing message of new life in Jesus Christ. This mission is accomplished through regular teachings, disaster relief efforts and crisis intervention ministries. <br> <br>The story of this ministry is simply a testimonial of the amazing power of God. The ministry meets in a bar in a bowling alley in Fishers, Indiana and has a love for all who enter. If you happen to be in town on a Sunday, check out Pinheads at 10am. <br>

The Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau is partnering with EAC to bring a Revolving Loan Fund to the county. The fund will serve as a resource for small businesses, particularly in the rural and small communities in the county. EAC has the reputation and sound management to make this opportunity possible. We are grateful to have them as a partner as they have shown outstanding leadership.
